I have seen two variants of the newer style carry case, that is the one with
the braille label on the front.  One has a single strap across the back
which is level with the top of the unit.  The other has two straps, one
upper and one lower.  The lower strap runs along the back level or just
below the ports.  I'm not sure if this does cover the infra red port if the
unit is inserted in the case properly or not.  It is important to ensure the
side back velcor flaps are pulled tightly towards the front when securing
the case around the BN.

I think the case with just one upper strap may be the newer of the two.
