Hi Albert,
On 2 May 2004 at 6:00, Albert Sanchez spoke, thus:

The very fact that a DHCP server could, in fact, be contacted is good
news, and confirms that the card does actually work. How well it works,
and how much current it draws from the battery, is anyone's guess -
Windows CE networking is very tempramental. Certainly, when I used a
PCMCIA network adaptor, it was a tad slower, less responsive and more
draining on the battery than the CompactFlash card recommended by
PulseData, which works natively with Windows CE networking.
However, to answer your question - it sounds like a DHCP lease can't be
obtained. Check your router device. Make sure it is allowing DHCP
requests, and make sure there are enough addresses to go round on your
network, then reset the BrailleNote with the card inserted. How you do
that depends on your router - it probably involves logging into an
intranet web page and filling in a web form on your PC. I can't help you
directly here because, as I say, this router configuration differs from
manufacturer to manufacturer. If you should need any more guided help,
let me know and I'll do what I can.
Cheers,
Sabahattin
