Hi Gary,

To exercise the dots on the braille display, do the following.

1. Enter the options menu.

2. Enter support information mode by pressing space with i (read with i).

3. Press x.

4. The dots will begin to move in a successional pattern. First, dots 14, 25,
36, and 78 will move from the top to the bottom of the display. Next, dots
1237 and 4568 will travel in vertical lines along the display. Finally, all 8
dots of all cells will be displayed. These will then be cleared except for 2
raised dots. If you wish to increase the speed of the exercise, press the
right outermost thumb key. To decrease the speed, press the outermost left
key. To pause mid-exercise, press enter. You may exit by pressing space with
e (escape)

You can view information on support information mode by looking in section
2.5.1 of the manual.

Secondly, to check the free space left in a drive, do the following

1. Press f from the main menu to take you to the file manager.

2. Press d to enter the directory prompt.

3. If you're prompted for a folder, press backspace to return to the drive
list.

4. Do not press enter on the drive. Instead press space (down arrow) until
you come to the drive about whose size you are concerned.

5. Press space with i (read with i). The first number will tell you the space
in the drive currently being used. The second number tells you the total space
available if the drive were empty. By subtracting the first number from the
second, you can obtain the amount of free space in your drive.
