Sharon,

Press RESET with no keys held down, then try opening the .doc file again. By
the way, this would be the second post from you with a weird subject line
(check it out with speech, it looks right on the display but you'll be
surprised). You're typing it in grade 2 Braille but the BN reads it as
computer Braille. Let me discuss this a little bit to help you avoid this from
happening, especially when the e-mail is addressed to a sighted person or a
blink who doesn't know computer Braille.
If you compose a message by selecting the "Write an e-mail" option in Keymail,
the Braille grade entry for the subject line is grade 2 by default (this is of
course for the BT models). However, if you are replying or forwarding a
message that already has a subject line, and you wish to change that, you must
write in computer Braille by default.
I say "by default" because there is a way to set grade 2 Braille for the entry
when changing the subject line. When you've erased the old subject line (by
pressing BACKSPACE with C), press BACKSPACE with B before typing anything.
This will set grade 2 Braille as the entry Braille grade.

HTH,
Roselle
