BN yet, but I do know computers. They're my business. I train people
to use them. So here goes. If PDI staff want to chime in on this
one, you certainly may.

If I understand you correctly, Maria, you want to know if your scanner
can store the files you scan and if these files can be transfered to
your BN.
The answer is no. When you scan something with a scanner, it is sent
directly to your computer.

You would not be able to make sense of the files if you could connect
the BN to the scanner. The scanner takes a picture of whatever's
scanned and the computer takes that picture and puts it into text for
reading. You have to have software on your computer that does the
transferance.

Again, the scanner does not store files in the same way that a
computer does. It can store them for a little wile as you scan in
more pages, (This is called buffering), but a scanner, any scanner
can not store files permanently. The scanned material is sent to the
computer for processing. Once the file has been processed by your
computer using software like Kurzweil or Open Book or something like
that, you can use Activesync to transfer the file to the BN.
