If this helps any, there is some information about the type of network card in 
the User Guide.  In Appendix D, which is called Networking, there is a section 
called "D2 Required Equipment".  The information on the network card is the 
second item under the required equipment.  It seemed to be a specific type of 
network card because it had a specific number associated with it.  HTH.
