You'd only need to keep the subscription address in a file, not
necessarily an entry in your address book. However, the answer to
your question is yes, the subscription and the posting addresses for
an email list are different. The subscription address sends a command
to the server, just as you would ask a waitress for more coffee in a
restaurant. The posting address is a different address because when
you talk to your fellow diners you don't ask them for more coffee in a
restaurant, you ask the server.

I would just put the posting address in your address book, and I'd
make a note of the server's address in case you wanted to go nomail or
unsubscribe or go digest or something. What I do is keep a separate
mail folder called lists. In there I have the welcome messages from
all the lists to which I belong. That way, if somebody wants to know
how to subscribe, or if I need to change my options, I can do that.

    >> CAN MESSAGES BE SENT WITH BLANK SUBJECT LINES?

That depends on the list to which you are subscribing. Some email
software will not allow blank subj lines. It's always a good idea to
put a subj line in an email. That way somebody can pick it out and
read it or discard it if it is not something he/she wants to read.
It's like a label on a can of vegetables. If you like beans, you'll
buy the can of beans. If you don't like asparagus you won't buy the
can, based on its label. <smile>

Not sure what you mean here. Maybe somebody else can offer help.

I'm not an email user on the BN, so I don't know, but I would think
that one could write a signature file in keymail just as you would in
Outlook or Eudora or whatever.
