Not sure if you have Talks software to help you hear what's going on, but in
any case it's easy.
On the 3650, go to Menu (the key above the 5 key), go down to the 16th item
(assuming you've not altered the default layout), i.e. Connectivity. Press
Select (the central hollow in the cursor key).
There are three options:  Bluetooth, Infrared and Modem. Go to Modem and
select with the hollow of the cursor key again.
That's it, but be aware the infra-red and modem do not stay active for very
long, so I would suggest you have your BN set up ready.  I.e. set up a
directory service using Infrared Port for Modem.
