I don't know what a LandLine phone is. If you're talking about a cell phone,
it depends on if the cell has an infrared port. If so, you can do this, and
you change the modem from "Connexent Internal" to "Hayes Compatible". If your
cell uses a high-speed Internet connection, you'll have to get the number they
use, but if they don't use high speed, you dial up with the number of your ISP.
If the phone you're talking about is a phone that you use which stays in one
place (as opposed to taking it with you when you travel) and is not a cell, you
have to use the modem jack port, which is located on the right part of the back
side of the BN, and which is the port to the left of the infrared. You take
the part of your phone line jack which is in your phone and plug it into the
modem jack port on your BN. You'll have to squeeze the clip on the end of the
plug to get it loose from the phone and again from the BN once you're done
using it. Alternatively, you can use the modem cable that came with your BN.
You put one plug of this cable (it doesn't matter which) into the wall outlet
of your phone jack. This is where your phone gets connected through the wall
to the phone line with a wire, so you'll have to remove the wire which is
already there, and put one end of the modem cable into the wall; the other end
goes in your BN. These plugs have clips also, which you squeeze to release the
cable. The two options involve removing different parts of the same wire; if
you use the phone jack itself, you unplug the part of the wire in the phone,
and if you use the modem cable, you unplug the same wire, but you remove the
other end, which is in the wall. You then dial-up using your ISP. In my case,
my phone is connected to another phone which is then connected to the phone
line through a wall, so it's more convenient for me to use the phone jack
instead of the modem cable. Hope this makes sense, and I hope it helps you.
