Hi. Be careful. I bought a 70 dollar serial cable for my lg 4400 phone and never got it connected. We tested the cable with my computer hooking up and dialing out through the cell phone. So, we know the cable works. However, no such luck on the braille note. I am going through Verizon. I had heard that Marlaina Leiberg had wrestled with Verizon for a month or so before giving up. I thought I had gotten to the right guy at Verizon. he stated he would work with Pulse data and get things working properly for my phone. He called someone at Pulse data or humanware who told them they had been using that phone without any problems. OF course, either pulse data or numanware just shined the guy on at Verizon so things came to a grinding hault. I had really hoped that pulse data humanware would really work with verizon to get things figured out since a lot of blind folks use verizon because of their free 4 1 1 service, but guess not.
Instead, I just wasted 70 dollars on a cable and got no help from PDI.

They do have serial cables but in my recent laptop crash I lost the
information but I gave it to Paul Hendricson and Jay Daily so if either of
the two of you still have the information, would you mind, please sending it
to the list so I can also have it again?
Thank you!

Subject: [Braillenote] conecting cell phone to the BN?

> Hello everyone, I would like to know if any one knows of a USB to serial
adaptor for the BN? I have a T-730 Motorola phone that came with a USB
connector that could be plugged in to a PDA however wee know that the BN
does not have a USB port.

such adaptors. If there is no such thing could some one recommend what type
of cell phone that I could by? The company I'm using for my provider is
Verizon and they also said that they don't carry a phone with infrared
functionality.
