Hi Diane, I'm not quite sure what you mean by "editing tasks". Since you want to use the File Manager, I assume you want to do something like Rename, Move, Erase, Copy, or Protect/Unprotect your Favorites. Let me know if this is incorrect.
There are corresponding items in the File Manager for each of the actions listed above, so you can choose the appropriate option, select the Drive (Flash Disk), Folder (My Favorites), and file [File Name].URL where [File Name] is the name of the actual Favorite you wish to manipulate, and the action will be performed. In some instances, such as the Copy and Move File options, you will be asked for both a Source Drive/Folder/File as well as a Destination Drive/Folder, where the Source is the location from where the document is coming and the Destination is where the moved/copied document will be placed. For the Erase, Rename, and Protect/Unprotect options (the Protect File option allows you to unprotected a protected file after you have selected a protected file through this option), you are only asked for one set of Drive/Folder/File selections because the actions are only performed on one document and do not involve the replication of a document in another location. By default, the Favorites are stored in the My Favorites folder of the Flash Disk, so this is what you would select when manipulating Favorites unless you've put them somewhere else, in which case you would select your chosen location. I would suggest reading the topics that apply to the editing situation you wish to accomplish through the File Manager, and you will find sub-topics under the File Manager Topics of the index of your User Guide called "Copy File", "Erase File", "Move File", "Protect File", and "Rename File" which will help you. Use the HELP feature if you have any problems along the way. >From the Directory option of the File Manager, once you are in a list of >files, there are shortcuts to Move, Rename, and Erase the file. Actually, you >can do them in any List of Files. If you select to Move the File from a list >of files, you will be prompted for the destination location of that document. >If you are in a list of files, and have pressed SPACE until you are at the >file you want to manipulate, but have not yet pressed ENTER to select the >file, here are the shortcuts for the BT. I am posting a request for QT >equivalents to this list as I am unable to find them in the documentation. >The BT shortcuts are: Move: BACKSPACE with M Rename: BACKSPACE with R Erase: BACKSPACE with C You cannot Copy or Protect/Unprotect files in this way, so you would have to do this from the corresponding options of the File Manager.
