Peggy, with the new KeyPlan, that's not tricky at all. To set an appointment that occurs every third Friday of the month, whatever the date is, type M for MONTHLY at the recurrence prompt to change it from the default of ONCE. Hit ENTER and the next prompt will ask if you wish the appointment to occur on a specific day like the 19th of every month? Type N for no because this isn't the case for you. Press ENTER and the next prompt will ask for the week of recurrence. Type 1 for first, 2 for second, 3 for third, 4 for fourth, or L for last (which is different from the fourth week because some months have five Fridays, for instance). Note that for BT users, there is no need to put in a number sign, so the options are really a, b, c, d and l (and there's no need for a letter sign either). In your case, type 3 (just c or dots 1-4) and hit ENTER. You will be asked for the day of recurrence. Type M for Monday, T for Tuesday, W for Wednesday, H for Thursday, F for Friday, S for Saturday, or U for Sunday. No need for the letter sign on the BT. For the third Friday, type F and press ENTER. You will be asked for the number of months between recurrences. If the appointment is on the third Friday of every month, type 1; if it skips n months, where n is a number greater than 1, type that number. Again, no need for the number sign on the BT. If the appointment will recur a definite number of times, type that number in the end of recurrence field. If you don't know how many times it will recur, but know the approximate date when it will stop recurring, type that date. I wrote "approximate" because this means that if you know the appointment will stop recurring on the third Friday of December 2005 but do not know what the date is for that third Friday, you can just type December 31, 2005 and KeyPlan will determine for you the date of the last recurrence. You won't see it specified but if you really are in doubt and would like to check, then use the Find command (SPACE with F or READ with F) and the Next Occurrence command (SPACE with N or READ with N) on the planner page itself until you find the last recurrence for that appointment.
