No, this is a Braillenote function. I have seen Braille displays that get a tiny grain of dust inside, and it's just enough to cause one of the cells to fire incorrectly. However, should exercising the Braille display fail to solve your problem, the machine will need to be repaired.

Try going to your options menu, go to your support mode, and then hit the letter x. This will exercise your braille display. Let it go for about a half hour or so. Sometimes there can be something caught in it. This is probably a last resort thing, so if it doesn't work, then you need to do the sending in thing. Good luck.
