Hello all,
I just tried to install my GPS v2 onto my BrailleNote running Keysoft 5.
Tried a dots 1-2-3 reset first, as instructed, but was told a .pll file was
in use. Finally did a 1-2-3-4-5-6 reset and went back to Keysoft 4. Got the
GPS installed, but, when I tried to go back to Keysoft 5, got a product key
request. Called tech support at PDI and tried re-setting again, to no
avail. Battery was a bit low, so was advised to try another re-set and to
re-install Keysoft 5 when the battery was charged. Plugged in the ac
adaptor and got no displayed message about the adaptor having been plugged in.
Suspect that the BrailleNote will need to go in for repair, (sigh) as I
have never seen this before, but if any of you have additional suggestions,
I sure would appreciate them, as I was about to take the BN on a family
vacation to Aruba.
Thanks.
Amy

Actually, this is currently possible with GPS V2. While using either
Space with S or Control with S for address lookup, the state, city, and
street name prompts will all accept single letter input. Note that BT
users should precede their single letter with a letter sign which is
standard throughout Keysoft.

Thanks, that would be great. One thing that would be really nice and
could
speed the location process up tremendously is the ability to type in the
first character of a city or street name and get close to what you want
that
way, then scroll until you find it. Is that being considered?
