Hi Donna and all, My configuration is similar to yours, Donna. I have had an occasional problem similar to yours with an added complication. It seems that if I unplug or pluggin the power chord as I power the unit on, the combination of having the braille note say "card inserted" for the micro drive, "power disccnected" for the power cable, and "main menu" for the start up process, is just to much, and the unit shuts down just as you describe, Donna.
Therefore, before I restart my unit, I almost always pop the micro disk out of its slot. I do have a compact flash card, too, but it doesn't seem to be involved in this process. Hope this helps.
