Sue, You can change the font size but there's limited selection, depending on the printer type. I'm afraid no printer driver used by Keysoft has Times New Roman in the selection. Now, font types available to you will depend on which printer you have selected in the Printer Setup Menu.
Position the cursor at the start of the text whose font style you wish to change. Press ENTER with F (CTRL with T), then press the letter corresponding to the font type, then type N to turn it on (note, that's N for ON, not Y for yes). Next, position the cursor at the end of the text whose font style you wish to change from the default, and press ENTER with F (CTRL with T) again, the letter for that font type, and F to turn it off. If it's the whole file, then you turn on the font style when the cursor is at the top of the file, and you turn it off when it's at the bottom of the file. Font indicators will appear on the display if you're using the Editing DISPLAY mode or if the cursor is on it in Automatic Display Mode, marking the beginning and end of the font style for the text. It would consist of the computer Braille dollar sign (dots 1-2-4-6), followed by three letters. The first letter will be F, followed by S for the start-of-font-type indicator or E for the end-of-font-type indicator, and the last will be the letter you pressed to select that font from the Font Menu. What, you ask, are the letters and the font styles they select? Go into Keyword, select the Keysoft Systems Disk and the Printers folder. The printer driver files are there, and you open the one that you have selected in the Printer Setup Menu. I think most users on this list use the HP Deskjet and LaserJet printer type. Below is the list of font styles and the letters pressed to select them. If you're using something else, just check it out in the Printers folder mentioned above. Hewlett Packard Deskjet and Laserjet Printer Driver On printers that have dip-switches, make sure that switches 6 and 8 of the left hand dip switch are in the up position. The dip switches are located on the front of the printer at the bottom right corner. If you are using A4 size paper, you may wish to set the default page length of Keysoft to 70 lines. This will give you 4 extra lines of print per printed page, however it is not necessary to change from the normal default setting of 66 lines. To change the default page setting to 70 lines per page, go into the Printer Set-up List and set the Paper Length setting to 70. In the Printer Set-up List, set "Use form-feeds between pages" to Yes and set "Pause after each page" to No. The type styles available on the Deskjet and Laserjet Printers are as follows: A - 12 Point character height B - Bold print C - Courier D - Draft Quality E - Set 5 characters per inch F - Set 10 characters per inch G - Set 16.67 characters per inch H - Set 20 characters per inch I - Italic J - 8 lines per inch K - 12 characters per inch L - Letter quality print M - 6 lines per inch O - Overstrike P - Gothic Q - CG Times R -6 point character height S - Superscript T - Subscript U - Underline X - Proportional Spacing Y - 24 point character height Z - Landscape print HTH, Roselle >----- QUOTED MESSAGE ----- >Sent by: "Susan Mangis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED] >Hello, >I know that different fonts such as bold and italics can be used when >creating a document, But is there a way to select a particular font such as >times new roman, and to select the font size?
