Hi, Paul and everyone, I want to add my comments to the reassurances that you have already gotten. I got my BrailleNote in 2001 and I only send it back for upgrades and maintenance. My husband is also a BrailleNote user and he can say the same. I haven't even had my battery replaced, though I plan to do so at the NFB Convention this summer. I really love my BrailleNote and have had no trouble with it.
