The overwrite command on the BT keyboard is space with dots 2, 4, and 6.
Just put your cursor on the letter and execute that command and replace the
letter with the one you want.

> What do you mean, an Overwrite command. SPACE with O is the Options Menu,
and you can't edit links anyway. The only thing you can edit is anything
you've inputted into a Text Input field because you can't edit stuff on a
website that's been created by someone else. The stuff that someone's put
on a website's just there, and you can't do anything about it. When you've
downloaded Volume 1, you advance the display until you get to the Volume 2
link, and then you hit a touch cursor button above one of the cells on which
the link is displayed, and hitting it should activate the link.
Alternatively, you press SPACE until you get to the link, then press ENTER.
When you get the web page on your Display after your book's done
downloading, which is after the "Please Wait" message has disappeared due to
completion of download, you save the file, whether it appears on the Display
or not, and it will be there for you to access in KeyBook or KeyWord. Once
you've downloaded Volume 1!
> , you have to hit ENTER with B to Go Back to the page that's got the
information about the book on it (not the actual book's contents), and then
you'll see the links for the other volumes. If you log on to the actual
Web-Braille site, you'll first be prompted for your User Name and PassWord,
which you put in, like you did Lisa. If, however, you're searching from the
NLS site, you'll be asked for the UserName and PassWord info when you
activate the first link of a book you want to download. Note that the
Online Catalog you search with both the NLS and actual Web-Braille site are
the same thing. The NLS site is www.loc.gov/nlsand the Web-Braille site is
www.loc.gov/nls/braille Another point; when saving the book, you're offered
the file name. However, you can hit BACKSPACE to switch drives or folders.
At the "Folder Name" prompt, you can do SPACE with T to get into Directory
Mode, if you want to save it in a sub-directory of the folder. You select
directories in the sa!
> me way as folders, but you move one layer at a time and hit ENTER afte
> r selecting each layer. If you want to move up directory layers, hit
SPACE with dots 2-3. If you want to type in a directory, do a Slash, dots
3-4, before each layer, including the very first one. The SPACE with T goes
back and forth between Folder and Directory Mode every time you press it.
I've never gotten the Error Allert Tone when downloading, but if you get one
immediately after the "Please Wait" message comes up, don't worry about it
because, if you see the "Percent Complete" after "Please Wait" or hear
Progress Tones, it'll download. However, if your unit does ever lock up, a
Reset with no keys held down should fix it. Finally, the "Free Database
Space" option applies to KeyList and KeyMail, not KeyWeb; if it were
available in KeyWeb, there would be this option somewhere in the program,
which there isn't. BTW, I think there is an Overwrite command on Freedom
Scientific notetakers, which I never know how to work, so I'm wondering if
you maybe mixed it up with t!
