Hi, Don, Try removing the disk drive, doing a simple reset, and then, 
re-inserting it.  That should work.  This is not an um-common problem.  Also, 
if you have a CF card already in the unit, remove it, then, insert the disk 
drive.  After doing stuff like this, it should aeventually recognize the drive.
