Hi, Jane: I say things assuming people know what I'm talking about. From the main menu, go to Utilities, and press B for back up. Go to the file you want to back up. It may even give you the option to put it in a text format right there. You'll be asked where you want it backed up. I know in most cases, you can press SPACE with dots 3-4 to select your format.
