Hello Anne: The WEP key needs to either be 10 or 26 digits depending on if you're using 64 or 128 bit encryption. The key needs to be made up of digits 0 thru 9 and a thru f. It does appear to be case sensitive so I'd use all lower case if you are using letters in your key. A safer bet is to use an all digits key that you create yourself. When entering the WEP key into the BrailleNote, enter it all together with NO separators. Remember also that the BrailleNote only looks at WEP key number 1 and will disregard all other keys from your router. (i.e. 2 thru 4).
