I remember reading in the manual that when you insert the network card, 
you need to press reset for the Braille Note to recognize it.  I don't 
know if you need to turn off the unit, insert the network card, turn it 
on, and then press reset.  I have never tried this myself yet, but I do 
remember reading this in the manual.
