I agree Don with how a password is to display to remain confidential but it
would be nice to have some kind of way to get it so I wouldn't need to
bother anyone else. I'm certain I'll get it in some way!

That's why it's always replaced by the asterisk when you type it and
hopefully is never spoken by your screen reader or bn.
