Beth,
I assume you have a computer?
If so, I would strongly urge you to look into a software solution to
your scanning and reading needs. All reading machines, no matter who
makes them are overpriced and proprietary.
There are far less expensive ways to accomplish optical character
recognition. This message is not intended as a knock on PDI, I am
merely expressing an opinion of reading machines in general.

Hi, all. The ScanAr manual is not on PDI's site, or else I missed it.
Where can I get an online copy to read, or is it online anywhere? When
you
buy the ScanAr, I think I understood that you get a Braille manual--is
this
right? Thanks. Beth
