Hello: I have a VoiceNote QT and have a variety of 256 and 512 compact flash cards. I utilize them both in the back slot and via a cradle, in the PCMCIA slot on the side of the unit. I also use a Toshiba 5 Gigabyte PCMCIA hard drive. They all work great and I currently have about 350 books on one of the 512's.
The only problems I've noticed is that I have to do a lot more resetting with the 5 gigabyte drive installed. I normally use this drive for GPS maps so I can have all the maps at my fingertips, so I'm not sure if the resets are due to the drive or the GPS software. Also, the battery draw down is a bit faster with any cards installed, especially the 5 gigabyte drive. The only warning I can give you is, in my experience, NEVER!! format a compact flash card with the BrailleNote/VoiceNote. If you do so, it will become unusable. hth Jeff Molzow [EMAIL PROTECTED]
