Hi all,
Don, your being dropped without explanation is not unusual, although
the Mailman software usually gives one a notice that you've been
dropped. What has happened is that your address was probably bouncing
email back to the server. If an address bounces too many times the
software will put that address on nomail. All that is required is to
go onto the web site and check the box that says send mail. This is
done to reduce spam on the server end of things.
You can also get the listowner to help you if this should happen
again. It's a simple fix.
The reason for the bounces can be anything from a power failure in
your area to maintenance on your ISP or a glitch in a computer that
relays email to your ISP. Not to worry, just one of the effects of
belonging to The Net.
