Olusegun, the only messages which are spoken when the unit is turned off, are: 'AC adapter on,' or: 'AC adapter off,' which is the case in Keysoft 5.1 build 19. However, if you have inserted or removed the card after you have turned the unit off, the relevant message, respectively, is the first you will hear upon turning it on again, although it's not advisable to turn on the unit with the card inserted, as some users have experienced a loss of data on the card, due to an uncalled for formatting of the card.
