Hi, folks: I guess it's safe to say that the 6.1 upgrade has been, shall we
say, troublesome. Ie might even say "ill-fated." Until HumanWare comes out
with 6.11, There are certain steps which should be taken, which, I think, would
greatly help in soothing ruffled feathers, and which would make great business
sense. Here they 5:
1. Immediately halt the shipment of the 6.1 upgrade.
2. Send out an announcement, stating that, because of major issues, the
upgrade is being withdrawn for revision.
3. People, who have already received the upgrade, should be fully apprised of
these issues, and advised not to stall it until the new version, 6.11, comes
out.
4. From this point on, anyone who orders the upgrade should be sent 6.11. 5.
When 6.11 is ready, everyone who has either received 6.1, or who ordered it
before these actions were taken, should receive the upgrade on a CF card.
(Optional) It might not be a bad idea to give these folks one SMA.
While these steps may seem a bit drastic, I think they would do wonders, in
restoring confidence in this company, which, in my opinion, still makes the
best line of products around. Thanks, and God bless. Bob and Maxy-wax
