Hi, Terri. That is because you changed that particular thing in the braille display menu under options<grin>. I haven't gotten around to doing that yet. But I probably will. Of course, the default is line endings with the dollar p. I did try the one space option ,but put it back to the default once I saw that it did what I wanted. The reason I changed it back to the default, is because I am editing a bible book where I want a dollar p between each verse and two between each chapter.
