Hello Jim,
thoughtfulness is always appreciated and it can save lots of confusion and misunderstandings. for instance, I once received a cheque oopscheck, from a person but because it was professionally done up, I thought it was one of my regular bills! we fought over that cheque oops check for weeks! <sigh>

May a humble Brit be allowed to put a slightly different "take" on this subject.

At the beginning of December, I am due to attend a carol singing get-together in London,
about two hundred miles from my home. I was asked by the organiser, a blind lady, to
send a cheque (or to you, a check) to cover the cost of refreshments. After typing the
address, I brailled, on the two long edges of the envelope, the words: "Jim's
Sandwiches". The cheque (sorry, check) arrived safely, and the blind person was
able to identify it immediately.

Perhaps some of you could suggest this idea to your unthinking BrailleNote
providers.

Kind regards,

Jim Taylor.
