Hail, all ... I've been waiting all day for someone from Pulsedata here in the UK to get back to me, after enquiring when GPS Version 3 would be available from Pulsedata, and receiving the answer, in September. When I bought my Version 2, I was told, as I believe I've mentioned before, that it would be available at the end of this month, which also fits in with what I've gathered from joining the BrailleNote/GPS users' list, and which I mentioned in reply this morning. Needless to say, I'm more than somewhat displeased at being given this morning's information, as well as at Pulsedata's failure to get back to me when I was told someone would, indeed, do so.
Pulsedata really does, I believe, need to have a good, hard look at its attitude to and practice of giving customers and potential customers information about its products. The relationship between the company and those customers and potential customers, is, as I shan't tire of pointing out, very far removed from the generality of supply-and-demand, commercial relationships. I, for one, would also appreciate it if further tranches of Keysoft 6,1 and BrailleNote PK publicity toned down the hype and addressed us in more sober terms as to what's involved. We haven't all been slap-bang abreast of developments in this field of access technology since its inception! Some of us need to know at a down-to-earth practical level how the technical developments translate into what we can now do that's new, and how! 'Bye for now, John Goddard.
