Erick: I would not worry about shutting the BN off. It will go to sleep after 10 minutes or so, furthermore, the battery is rugged enough that you should see 20 hours before it goes flat, less depending on whether you have a compact flash card inserted, or not. As long as you remember to charge it at night, you should be just fine.

Hi, I would like any opinions regarding powering the BN on and off constantly. Am I reducing the life of the unit considerably doing this? I use my BN to take notes for work. This means that everytime the phone rings I switch the unit on. The phone calls can last anywhere between a few seconds to over an hour. The itle time between calls is usually anywhere from one minute or less to ten minutes or so. I guess I could leave the BN on, however from what I read, letting the BN go to sleep is pretty much the same as leaving it on... Am I worrying for nothing? thanks, >erick< ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
