Thanks for that. Am I correct then in saying that when we launch an
application like the Media Player, it does remain running if we just "space
e" out of it? This could pose problems if a user was to open several
applications, unless the PK automatically manages its active processes and
frees up memory by closing the oldest one launched or something? I did also
notice, not surprisingly, that the re-boot with c3-c4 also cleared the
problem.

the MediaPlayer.
