Lisa, While it is true that backing up is somewhat more of a pain if you
don't have a PC, in this case backing up to floppy or compact flash
would have saved the folders. Doesn't help this time, but if you make a
practice of backing up, it won't happen again. Lost folders during
repair is hardly exclusively a Humanware event; it's just one of those
things that happens. Sometimes it happens while you're just sitting
there with the BrailleNote in your lap, not doing anything untoward; my
flash drive has gone down twice in the four years I've had the unit, and
each time there was nothing weird going on; it just died. Put not your
sole trust in technology, for it shall crash upon you. (gospel according
to Susie.)
