Hi Peggy,

Once you have a wireless setup, there is no need to plug in. The only time that I could think of would be if the wireless stopped working for some reason.

Thanks. So I'm wondering what the general consensus is. Is it worth buying an ethernet card if you'll be going wireless? Are there times when one would want to be hooked up and not be wireless?

If you want to use DSL now, you'd need to buy the ethernet card, which would cost approximately $159 from Pulsedata, and I guess you can buy it somewhere else for around $100. You should have gotten a modem, and if you're going to use it with your computer, you'll need a router. If you're planning to go wireless, make sure it's a router that can go either way.
