Hi all,
<smiling> Penny, you aren't "hopelessly" anything! If you plan to
sync your book files from your PC, you'll have to have Windows. The
BN doesn't work with FTP or Kermit or anything sensible. (One
suggestion for future upgrade, FTP, FTP, FTP, pleeeeeeeze!!!!)
However, if you've got Windows and Activesync, then transferring files
is easy. Just select the files you want from your directories on the
hard disk in the normal way, e.g. doing a ctrl-a or by pressing shift
and the down arrow to select contiguous files, or by using the
ctrl-spacebar option to select noncontiguous files. Then, hit the
ctrl-c to copy the files to the clipboard. Next, hit the backspace
key till you get to the first level of My Computer, go down to Mobile
device and so on till you get to where you want the files to be on the
five gig hard drive. Then, just hit ctrl-v. Your files will be
copied. Yes, you can copy until you've got five gigs of space filled
up. Remember that the five gig drive is not a system drive so it
doesn't have hidden files on it, so essentially, you've got a whole
five gigs of space. That's about four CD's worth of stuff! You'll be
readin' till next doomsday!
