Hi Sharon, I use sbcglobal.net here and have set up my account.
This is probably very obvious, but did you specify the correct pop and smtp servers? Also, you need smtp authentication set to yes, but this shouldn't effect your receiving email. If you get the error message and are requested to try again later, it could be that the servers are busy or down for some reason. As I said, I'm using sbcglobal.net, but the pop server is sbcglobal.yahoo.com and the smtp server is smtp.sbcglobal.yahoo.com which can make it a bit confusing. I see you're using sbcglobal.net as well, so hope this will help. Finally I do have logon to network set to no. These settings work for me, and I can surf the net and also do email with the network connection. Don Also Hello. I'm wondering if anyone deals with any of the sbc dsl services. I'm trying to set up a second email account on the braille note. I believe I have all the proper information put in. I have as the user name the email address and have it put in the email field also. I have the password in both password fields. I have it connect to the network. No waiting for a dial tone. No proxy server. No dsn settings. It is set for network connection. It tells me that there is an error when I try to check email. It says to try again sometime. Does anyone know how to help me solve this problem. I'd like to be able to check both accounts on the bn at different times. I would appreciate all the help I can get.
