I use KeyWord all the time and I love it! I have written KeyWord text documents and I have used the export feature or the save feature to save them in a format the PC can read. I have also created braille documents and exported them as .brf files so I could read them with my PC and DBT Win. I have even created both Word and WordPerfect documents from scratch using KeyWord.
The types of documents I create run the gamut from Bibles and hymn books to braille music anthems for singing. I have noticed that the automatic indents and styles such as heading will not export into Word or WP, but centering, bolding and underlining are fine. I have often mentioned PDI should update Keysoft so bold and underline fonts will translate into braille as dots 4,6 and not use the codes. The full-fledged version of Duxbury does this, so I can't see why this change couldn't be implemented. I also wish PDI would upgrade Keysoft's codes, like hard page breaks, so they can be supported when a document is saved or exported to WP or Word. I prefer using Keysoft to using my PC, Windows XP, or Duxbury to edit documents; but DBT has features which KeyWord doesn't have, and if I want them in my braille documents, I like using my PC to spiff them up. I absolutely HATE Word so I use other programs in my PC if I need to add something to a print document which DBT can't handle. I still have my old PC and I can still use WP 5.1 if I want to. In my opinion, KeyWord is the most important feature on the BN. Terri Pannett, Amateur Radio call sign KF6CA. Army MARS call sign AAT9PX, California
