These little thumb drives connect via USB; the BN has no USB ports.

Beth, when you first asked about thumb drives, I thought you meant the
thumb keys on the bn.  I guess that's not what you mean.  As far as
umpacking bookshare, you can umpack it on the bn.  Having never seen a
PK, I know absolutely nothing about it, however, Jonathan said you can.
