What were you doing when you got it? Were you using the modem or GPS, or perhaps opening a large book? Did the battery critical just happen once and then disappear, or did it keep recurring? If it was just a brief message and then it disappeared, or if you were doing something that requires extra battery power (like using the modem) when the battery was getting pretty low, it might have caused it to say it was critical when it really wasn't. At least that's been my experience.
