Hello Sarai,

I think your first two concerns have been addressed on this thread.
However, regarding the wireless card draining the battery quicker, this is
to be expected because you are using a transmitter and receiver to
communicate with the network.  The battery will really be drained when the
card, or wireless transceiver, is in transmit mode.
