Hello Lance,

Are you attempting to connect via the serial port or via Infra-red or
ethernet????
What type of machine do you have - BrailleNote BT or QT or a VoiceNote
BT or QT

In case you have a BNBT here are some areas to check
1) Access the Options menu SPACE with O
Enter V dots 1-2-3-6 (visual display) This announces the state of
the visual display - should be off
2) Access the Utilities menu U dots 1-3-6
Access the miscellaneous options set up list M dots 1-3-4
Press the SPACE bar once and a message is announced 'Active sync
connection currently serial'
3) Check on your PC the Microsoft Active sync icon - select file then
connection settings
Check that the 'allow serial cable or infra-red connection box is
ticked.
4) Return to the Braille Note and attempt to connect Utilities menu -
SPACE bar - ENTER

5) If this fails you will have to do a reset on the braille note. That
is a reset with NO keys held down - just the reset button alone. Then
attempt to connect again.

If this fails please let me know and I will see what help I can give you.

Regards,
Patrick

Hello all, I've tried again and again to install active syc with out
success. I keep getting problems with not being able to use the com
ports. I've tried to dable some of the programs that could be
interfering with active sync, without any success. Can somebody tell me
of an easier way of doing this. I'm just about to give up on this. Any
help given will be greatly appreciated!! Lance
