If you lived in the U.S., the BN PK would cost you $4,995.00. If a person needs to emboss or print using the BN, you're out of luck, if you buy the PK. The BN 18 or 32 would be better for you.

Like yourself I am not any more in full-time employment; a position which unfortunately applies to all too high a percentage of blind people in this country. Though the high price of equipment of course bothers me, yet, oddly enough, that was not really the main point I was trying to make. It was the considerable price differential between global zones. I cannot comment on the price in Australia, for I haven't those relevant details. However, I am certain that, if I lived in the States, I could purchase a PK for 773 pounds, that is 1368 U S dollars, less than I can, living in Europe. It is this price difference which would, were I a sighted user, buy me a complete PC, in this country. There is probably a very good reason for this considerable price difference and, it was my intention that PDI should have the opportunity of justifying it to those who they hope will be tempted to purchase the ! : PK, but who may be bothered by this point. Please come in, PDI. Don Cooper. : : : ___ : To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to : [EMAIL PROTECTED] : To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit : http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote :
