Have you tried saving the Braille volume as a BRF file, instead of copying it to the clipboard and pasting it into a new file? This seems to tax the BN's resources a little less.

I have also had this problem on www.lds.org which contains some publications of the Mormon church. One thing I have noticed is that it seems that if the document is small, say maybe 10 Braille pages or so it works. If it is a Braille volume it doesn't. My BN is running Keysoft 6.1.1 and has 48MB ram installed.
