Hi All I'm still looking at purchasing the BrailleNote. But, what with Jonathan's teasing about these soon to come developments--well, maybe teasing is not the exact way to describe it--, guess it just makes sense to hold off on a purchase for the few weeks until they are announced.
However, in the meantime, I was looking around to find the various ways in which one could buy a BrailleNote. And, I couldn't help but wish there was a bit more info in this regard on the PDI web page--well, unless that would just be too complicated with the BrailleNote being an international product. Maybe a heading/link that says something like how to purchase, and then briefly describes the different methods available? Now I certainly do understand if online ordering isn't an option directly from the site; however, more specific info about how to actually buy the product would have been appreciated. Being from the United States, I did find a telephone number for PDH to call for more info or to arrange for a demonstration. However and maybe it sounds stupid, but I just wasn't sure whether I would call PDH to make an actual purchase, or whether they would then direct me to someone else for that purpose. And, when I have to buy via phone, I just like to have as much information as possible ahead of time. So, I went looking around on the web, with the help of a search engine, and still further help with a post or two from a competitor's list, (guess I finally see the reason for trying not to mention competitor products on the list), and so I think I finally understand my purchasing options. Anyway, do I understand things correctly now? Meaning, I am able to call PDH and purchase directly from them? Or, on the other hand, I can call them and ask for someone in my area to give me a demonstration and purchasing options? Or, still further, I am able to just go online myself to one of the places I found that sell the BrailleNote via the web and make my purchase that way?
