HelloSabahattin,

I have the "Windows Firewall" turned off. I checked in the "exceptions" tab just to be certain and there is no reference to ActiveSync present. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sabahattin Gucukoglu" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi Chuck,

Windows XP SP2 has a built-in "firewall". This interferes with all
traffic by default. My recommendation is that you disable the firewall
completely, since you have no need for it while behind the firewall
employed inside your router. You can choose to turn the firewall off from
the "Windows Firewall" option in control panel.

If your circumstances differ or you want the firewall, I can give you
instructions for preparing the appropriate rule for ActiveSync. However,
since you installed ActiveSync and may have been asked to block or
unblock the program by Windows and you chose to block it, it should be a
matter of unchecking the boxes "ActiveSync Connection Manager" and
"ActiveSync Application" on the exceptions tab in the same dialog.

Cheers,
Sabahattin
