Hello, Pennell,
I received an E-mail naming one of my friends and telling me that she had
switched to SMS to handle her E-mail, and was pleased with the results. I
did not check at that moment with the friend, but went to the "install SMS"
link. In other words, it was a really clever virus but I invited it in.
Once in my computer, it copied all my addresses from my address book and
began sending obscene messages to those people. You just won't believe the
havoc that created. Lists that I had been on for years suddenly banned me.
Friends who I knew, some by the Internet, some personally, refused to answer
my E-mail. Companies I had done business with threatened to file suit and
collect some heavy money from me if I ever made attempt to communicate with
them again. As you can imagine, SMS really messed me up. One of my lists,
my favorite in fact, and the one I had been on the longest, refused to
communicate with me, and all my friends but two on that list would not
communicate. They had been warned by the list owner that if they
communicated with me, they would be banned, too.
Well, you can see that it was my fault entirely, but you can bet your hot
pink snow boots that I will not do that again.
Wishing I had some snow boots right now
Dick Myers

Hi. Mr. Myers, you said that the virus was your fault. What did you do to
get it? Did you pick up something from some site you ought to have been
wary of?
