I've had the same problems too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don Bishop" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, April 27, 2005 1:01 PM Subject: Re: [Braillenote] 6.11 is great!
Ann, After you're through using the bn as a braille display, you will have to shut down your screen reader and restart it, and/or quite possibly reboot your pc. The braille drivers of your screen reader may still have control of the port. And, sometimes windows doesn't like to let go of it so you have to reboot. I've noticed this on several occasions but not every time. Also, don't forget to check the box in the activesync connection settings telling activesync to look for a connection to the serial port. Before you use the bn as a braille display again, be sure you uncheck that box in the connection settings if you have activesync running in the system tray. Kind of a pain! I can't get it to work now that I've used it to function as a braille display. It keeps complaining about the port being in use of some darn gumbus! Ann P. -- Ann K.
