Dear Bob and Rhonda

I have tried both your suggestions. I was able to delete from both he
file manager and word processor with no trouble at all, on both he flash
disk and compact flash card. After doing the 4-5-6 reset, I tried again
and couldn't get into the free database option, because it kept saying
ti couldn't find the path specified. This problem was repaired however
by the machine and so I tried again. I have again come up with the same
message.

Thanks, however, Bob and Rhonda, for your suggestions.

Michele

Michelle: I'm wondering if you're able to delete files. I got the same
error message, which was the pre-cursor to a week of--well--let's say
trouble, that I had last week. Find a file you don't want, and try to
erase it. If it says "not enough space to complete this operation" and
then says "0 files erased", you'll have to use the block commands menu
to get rid of it. Look on your BN, and your CF card, for a file with a
weird extension. Get rid of that file, and that might solve your
problem. It'll make you pull your hair out! (I didn't, but, then, I
don't have enough hair to pull out.) Your BN or CF card may be too full,
or you may have a corrupt file. Bob and Maxy-wax
