Hi, Have you resolved this problem? Scott -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Paul Holliman Sent: Saturday, February 26, 2005 6:52 AM To: Braillenote List Subject: RE: [Braillenote] the braille note pk
Hi John, What happens if he tries to send? I ask because I'm unable to send from mine and never have been since I had it in November! I get error 501 from my isp's server, and with help from others on this list, together with support from my isp, we have more or less established that the problem lies with the PK because it's sending data to the smtp server in an unexpected format. There is an internationally agreed standard format for e-mail, so I sure hope this gets sorted, as it's the only real frustration I'm having with the PK at present - everything else is superb! In point of fact, my isp offers web mail as well as pop3/smtp, so I can use that via the web browser on the PK. All this assumes, of course, that your friend can successfully establish a network connection of some sort? Paul. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of John Gallagher Sent: 26 February 2005 10:36 To: new list Subject: [Braillenote] the braille note pk Hi list first my friend Don Cooper cannot for some reason send email from his pk has anyone any ideas. he has re-written his email setup. on the pk do you need a wireless card e.g. the ambicom card or on the pk is this not needed. thanks. ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.pulsedata.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
